About the Musicians

The musicians

Nicola Hadley works as music specialist in a North London primary school, where she runs class music for children aged 3-11 as well as four choirs and a 25 piece mixed band. She plays accordion in “Northern Frisk” and “Cat'n'Fiddle” ceilidh bands and has appeared at the National Theatre as a musical rabbit in “The Wind in the Willows”.

Steve Mulligan played with “Loose Tubes” and “The Baritone Band” as well as his own quintet and duo with the jazz pianist Tim Richards. His teaching career has included being Head of Art at an Islington secondary school; more recently his move into primary teaching has enabled him to incorporate music into almost every area of the curriculum. He plays jazz saxophones and clarinets and performs in a busking duo with Nicola in England and the south of France.

Sophie and Daniel Mulligan between them play a good number of instruments from the string, wind and brass families. Despite preferring hip hop and jazz to classical and world music, they have busked with their parents in England, France, Spain and Norway; we are still on speaking terms.
